|06:12 pm - Monday, small bursts of gratitude|
Oh God, Monday.
(However, Monday is Sleepy Hollow day! So YAY.)
This Monday was the last day of a heatwave, and while the clouds were weaving grey skies in a manner suitable for late fall, the temperature was late September. Today's bursts of gratitude, then, for cool in a hot day:
*Master Danger chasing an ice cube across the kitchen floor, his nose pressed to the chill
*a breeze on the morning walk
*old Fluevog flats instead of boots to finish my outfit
*listening to old James Taylor albums whilst the rising wind plays with the palm fronds against my window
*squeezing a lemon slice into my iced water, and breathing deeply the good smell of lemon
May your Mondays be full of things that bring you joy.
My Monday has not brought me joy, but I hold out hope for Sleepy Hollow. :-)

Not exactly joy, as such, but things did go better than expected. And there's a lovely sunset with cloud cover tinted pink and grey.
Cheers for better days, and good sunsets. Have a great Tuesday, too! [hugs]

Yay Fluevog flats! :-)
They're old, but they're still cute and wearable. :)
Hugs and a great Tuesday!
Today joys were the smell of a Macintosh apple, having Victor Garber in Godspell as an earworm, contemplating Amy Acker as Beatrice, a canceled meeting in the afternoon, and Oreo cookies.
The weather here has gone fractal or something- today it was hot, cool, clear, cloudy, foggy and humid.
Mmmm, Macintosh apples, and Victor Garber and Amy Acker, and cookies without meetings!
Fractal weather sounds kind of neat. :) May your Tuesday be *really* neat! [hugs]

It's Tuesday here now. Monday was a very dull grey, even at times brown, day but today the sun is shining brightly even though the temperature is plummeting. I send you cool thoughts and hope that Sleepy Hollow was fun.
Sleepy Hollow was fun, and here the weather *should* be better.
May your Tuesday be delightfully bright in all ways, K! Hugs, tea, and a good book!

I didn't watch Sleepy Hollow, but I did watch Almost Human...which I quite enjoyed.
Hurrah for television you enjoy, T. :) Hugs and a great Tuesday!
You certainly can make a Monday feel better.
We spent ours in transit...cab to the airport, Boston-Logan lounge, Southwest to Nashville to collect more passengers, Southwest to Las Vegas to change planes, Southwest to Sacramento to wait for our 4 entirely too large suitcases full of books (I got the bags, B took the shuttle to the car) then another hour to drive home.
We finally got something resembling actual food about 9pm.
Even the cat is not happier have us home than we are to be here. (I knew there was some joy in there somewhere!)
What an exhausting day! Oh dear. I hope you are feeling MUCH better, and that joy is returning.
