|05:15 pm - Storm|
Pressure-change ("Pressure Drop", actually): a cold front is about to put the whammy on the subtropics, and as usual I'm feeling less than stellar as a result.
But it's the end of the workweek, or at least the workweek where other people ask me to do things. Tomorrow and Friday I'll be able to barricade myself in my study or my office and perhaps actually do the things piling up. Perhaps.
The storm has to be endured first.
This afternoon, however, Master Danger and I went out to do an errand. (He actually levitated off the ground when asked if he wished to accompany me. Excitement is not the word.) The wind was shifting, the palm fronds rustling, the clouds starting to darken, but we drove downtown and then parked around the corner from the bank. There we went -- trotted, actually, because the Dangerous One was so pleased to be out -- to the ATM to get stamps, and then walked back to the car. Small pleasures before the dark comes.
I thought of that last night, too, since I drove in the dark (with new glasses that I'm not accustomed to) to see "The Day of the Doctor" on the big screen. Tired, a little anxious, I should have probably stayed home. But I went, and enjoyed. Small pleasures made big. :)
Hope your middle of the week delivers more pleasures and fewer storms.

What fun to see "The Day of the Doctor" in a theater!
It was a really celebratory experience -- and the episode looked fabulous on the big screen!
Hugs, Gwynne, and yay for short workweeks!

Be safe in the storm, and have a good Ritual Sacrifice. *hugs*
Hugs and continued good things to you!

Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks, T! Have a great middle of the week, with things to be thankful for. :)
We went out to see it in the theatre, too! What fun, what a joy, and yes, far too late to be out! I had a grand time.
May your days off be productive and filled with small pleasures! Hugs!
Hurrah for the Doctor on the big screen, and hurrah for you! :)
Hugs and a great Wednesday.
Good luck in achieving some of your to-do list...I'm hoping hard to manage a bit of that myself.
Or maybe I'll just imitate the cat!
Of course it's a windy cool day when I'd like nothing better than to curl up with a good book -- but work! Yes! ;)
Hugs and a great Wednesday, ALH.
Such a great thing to see it on screen, and in such great company! Hope the sinuses pass. Mine did, sort of eventually...but I may or may not have taken some decongestants to help. Sigh.
Happy and chilly day to you, booted one!
The wind is brisk this morning, F -- cold is coming. Stay warm!
[hugs and tea]
It's a good thing to see something wonderful with a group of like-minded people.
(The thought of a levitating Danger-dog fills me with glee and trepidation.)
It's important occasionally to surrender to an experience. :)
Master Danger is a very enthusiastic errand-companion, and he is, shall we say, an aggressive herder when he wants to go somewhere. This must be dealt with....
