|09:51 am - Monday Inspiration|
Horribly busy day ahead, but first, a moment to breathe.
This morning, after walking Master Danger and before I worked out, I spent a few moments scanning Pinterest (as one does). British Vogue occasionally posts covers from their archives -- I've linked to 20s and 30s images before -- and today's image resonated with me.
June 8, 1938 -- a spring/summer image. A woman, seen from the back, strolls with her black spaniel through an abstract representation of trees in bloom. A book is clasped behind her back; the blue blouse and orange-brown skirt almost appear to move with her. She looks free, and smart.
I Pinned the image, worked out, and then pulled together my outfit for today. On some subliminal level the image haunted me, because without intending to, I am wearing these same colors of blue and orange-brown, just reversed in top and skirt.
Here's to freedom, smartness, and the power of good images. :)
May your Monday be delightful, despite all the pressures and lost hours.
A lovely image and lovely colors!
I just love blue and caramel-brown together. :)
Cheers and hugs to you!

I like the image, and I'm sure you look lovely today.
I looked put together, and that made me happy. :)
Cheers! Hugs! Happy slide into Tuesday!

It's such a cool colour combination. :)
Hugs and a good Tuesday!
Ooh, lovely subliminal inspiration. Last night we had a lovely soaking rain and today the sun is out. I hope for more hours like this (although we still need snow up the hill, desperately, desperately...)
I hope you do get more rain soon, and snow in the higher elevations -- but a sunshiny afternoon can be nice. :)
Hugs and a good start to your week!
That's a smashing cover, and I'm sure you looked smashing too.
Isn't that cover awesome? :)
Cheers and a good Tuesday!
The line from shoulder to waist is always so pretty with those dresses, and that's a great picture.
The line really does work, doesn't it? I am impressed.
Hugs and a good end-of-day!
Thanks, T! Happy almost middle-of-the-week!
