|07:11 am - Wednesday Wish-Place: stairs and peace|
Today is going to be unbelievably busy, which will be difficult since I am suffering with allergy-brain-fog and headache. (Can't stay home. Completely overbooked without the possibility of rescheduling.) And so I retreat to my favorite contemplations for mental vacations, with outside delights and interior retreats.
I think I love stairs because I so often feel like I'm climbing through my life, and lovely surroundings make that hard pull a little easier. Today's stairways:
*the south of France, a purple door, a golden glaze over the world;
*an urban staircase in Hamilton, Bermuda, bronzes and pinky-browns and a splash of purple flowers in the window box above.
(I am having a Purple moment, apparently.)
But then the question for me is, where do I rest when I get to the top of the day's climb? Two answers, each giving a different kind of peace:
*again in southern France, an arch, with stones to sit on and green and blue to wrap one close in contemplation;
*finally going 'inside,' an Axel Vervoordt interior on the Cote d'Azur, wherein one sits in a minimalist white space and gazes silently at the waves coming in.
What do you want to find at the top of the stairs? May it give you whatever you define as peace.
Such stunning visuals for my morning coffee. Thank you!
:hugs: for the stairs. My quads ache just thinking about it.
Hope there are more lovely images in your day, F! Thanks and hugs!

And you too, mate:)
Hugs and thanks and cheers, L!
Yay purple door! :-)
I thought of you when I saw the purple. :)
Cheers and hugs!
The Bermuda photo is so cool- stairs as street, with signs and doors. Though deliveries of goods must be problematic.
I'm wondering if there are alleys to facilitate the deliveries of goods.... But yes, I do love the stairs as street! :)
Cheers and hugs!
I wish to go through the purple door and find a cushioned window seat from which to watch the waves below...surely there are waves below?
Thank you for sharing. Today we have speedily melting snow and many, many, many boxes of books to unpack. I prefer not.
Hugs and happy midweek!
I'm not sure if there are waves below once you're through the purple door - it might be vineyards, or fields full of flowers for perfume. :)
Good thoughts for the book unpacking, and all hugs for the day!

May you have a pollen-free week!
That is a lovely wish. :) Alas, the Very High pollen is here until the rainy season. Another 6 to 8 weeks to go....
You don't need 'imagination' when you have such a clear and delightful picture of what you want and need. :)
