|01:52 pm - Day #5, 30 Days of Appreciation: Blue, Fear (and PCap's Doctor), Paul Smith|
The allergies continue to lay me low. I've managed to work out, just, and cook a bit for the week ahead, but it's been a struggle. We persevere.
So, today's three things of appreciation:
*The sky today -- up until now, when much needed clouds have at least tried to form -- has been that saturated blue of autumn, born of September sun. I have a scarf almost (but not quite) that color. It's one of my absolute favorite colors in the world, and despite my sinus headache and my dislike of unseasonable heat, that blue is something I appreciate deeply.
*I loved last night's Doctor Who, and have been meditating about fear, the acceptance of it and the moving past it, all day. On another note, I appreciated and laughed at this moment between the Doctor and Clara, because I identify with her action and sputter in amusement at his reaction. Note the third: loved the jumper he wore, and imagine it would be soft to the touch.
*Speaking of London Fashion Week (as we were yesterday), this image of an outfit in Paul Smith's S/S 2015 collection was tweeted by Bazaar UK editor Justine Picardie. Okay, so that outfit is pretty much my platonic ideal of how I would like to (but could never manage to) dress in the summer.
May you have a score of things to appreciate today!

I'm glad you loved last night's Who.
I hope you have more eps this year to enjoy like you did "Robot of Sherwood."

I'm appreciating the chance to just hang out and do nothing but laundry (it's not as bad as it sounds, lots of sitting around).
Doing laundry can be very contemplative! I did some this morning. :)
Cheers, and happy hanging out!
I got to read the new Robin Hobbs book today, it was so good, I don't think I could have put it down if if was twice as long.
Hurrah for a Good-Book Day! And hurrah for you!
I should go back and reread Robin Hobbs' earlier Fool books, as I don't remember much about them, before I read this one.

Yay new Who and autumn blue sky!
And yay for you! [wishes you cooler weather]
That's a great outfit, but I just couldn't pull off those pants. I am built totally wrong for high-waisted pants; I look my best in pants that sit lower on the hips. Also, straightlegged or fitted(but not skinny) pants/jeans just work much better for my athletic figure. But hey, if you are a fashion model you can pull off anything.
Feel better. ((Hugs))
I can't wear the trousers either, to be fair. They're not cut for a middle-aged person. ;) But then, I can't wear skinny jeans either.
Cheers and hugs!

Good Morning! Wishes for a wonderful allergy free week. Love the Paul Smith outfit.
It is such a great outfit! :)
Hugs and cheers for your Monday.
I hope you are having some cooling and a respite from the sinuses today.
we have smoke from a nearby fire (under control) obscuring the view and scenting the air with autumn, but the weather is too warm for the full effect. When it isn't dangerous, I love the smell of smoke...
Caught up with the must do items put over during the book fair and the inventory roundtrip to Palo Alto yesterday and plan to spend the rest of the day recovering, which I will definitely be appreciating! Hugs!
Ack for nearby fires, even with the smell of autumn! It's worryingly dry where you live. [hugs]
Cheers for a recovery day! Hugs for you!
