|02:41 pm - Back Again|
Gosh, it's been a few weeks of work-madness and travel since I last posted here, but hi! Am back!
In lieu of seasonable posting (which will happen in a day or two), a few links re Bond, James Bond:
*In case you hadn't seen it last week, Tom and Lorenzo have a post about Daniel Craig and Rory Kinnear in their Bond and Tanner costumes shooting a scene on the Thames. (I missed seeing them BY A DAY.) DCraig's topcoat is to swoon over, as is Mr Craig.
*The fabulous style blogger Grey Fox has a reality-check "whimsy" (his word) on how James Bond, civil servant in these hard times, would actually Be able to dress -- here. It's a delight, in prose and pictures.
I always think of my favorite spies in winter, what with the long Northern Hemisphere days suitable for lurking and other espionage activities. It's time to revisit Skyfall, I think....
Cheers, and may you have fun things to divert you in this winter dark.
Love the links as always! Welcome home and happy holidays!
Happy holidays to you, ALH, and I hope you had a great birthday!
Craig in that coat--and the scarf's not bad, either.
Hope your travels were all you wanted them to be, but that it's good being home, too.
Coat and scarf are both pleasing, aren't they? As is DCraig. :)
Cheers and light to you this week!

Yay spies!! :-)
Spies spies spies!
Hugs, Gwynne. :)
That last photo of DC in the shades...brilliant. I agree, Skyfall is on the watching agenda, perhaps tomorrow when it's pouring!
Hugs, L, and happy days to you!
Yes, the sunglasses on DCraig are perfection. :)
Cheers and hugs to you, F!

It is a very nice topcoat, too bad for missing it by a day!
I suspect I wouldn't have been able to see the filming anyway. But I was on the Tate to Tate boat the day after, and when we went past Vauxhall Cross I cheered. Internally. :)
Cheers for your Tuesday, T!
So sorry you missed the filming, but yay for not missing the Thames!
Also, the "whimsy" still had much nicer stuff than I would imagine a civil servant being able to afford, but hooray for British-made. (Was Bond meant to be a gentleman of means? I always assumed so.)
Thanks for the beauty in so many dimensions!
H-P, hugs hugs hugs!
The blogger Grey Fox (his real name David Evans) is a huge proponent of made-in-Britain goods, and in fact keeps an updated list of British-made and/or British-materials products. Also, he has a great eye. ;)
Hugs hugs hugs twice, and all good thoughts for you!
Coat and scarf- gorgeous.
Yes they are!
Happy Christmas, my friend. :)
D Craig is rocking that coat, scarf, and shades like nobody's business. :)
Hugs and a merry Christmas, Rainkatt!
Happy Holidays Lori! I hope you have a lovely holiday, as befits a lovely person. ((Hugs))
And that TLo post is wonderful. I really enjoy TLo in general. Good taste and quality snark. :)
Happy happy holidays, my friend! Enjoy yourself! :)
(I confess that I have a problem with the deeply mean-spirited nature of most of Tom and Lorenzo's snark, but I do often like their selection of photos.)
Great links. I like the first hat in the second piece.
Thanks! I do love Grey Fox's clothing choices. :)
Happy day to you!
