|06:26 pm - Moving through Space and Time, Post #58|
This weekend has been quiet, nice, but not terribly productive other than a bit of writing and a bit of reading for work. It's also been blessedly rainy and cool (for the subtropics in September), giving a hint of the joy that's coming next month.
I took my weekend, even though it'll make my week hell.
Today, in fact, Master Danger and I went out in the rain-cooled afternoon so I could get some stamps at my bank's ATM and also so he could get to walk downtown a little, which he can't do when it's hot. I regret to say that Master Danger has forgotten the basics of polite downtown strolling on lead, but he enjoyed himself. I'll let him take that time.
Speaking of time, six more sleeps until the new season of Doctor Who starts. Here, have a prologue (although most of you have seen it). That is peak P Cap hair, I have to say....
Anyway, where was I? Oh, right, taking a weekend: reading the Ipcress File (what a charming 1st-person voice that is), listening to the Man from U.N.C.L.E. soundtrack, avoiding almost all Spring/Summer 16 NY Fashion Week reports (because I don't like summer clothes) except Victoria Beckham's, sorting and purging a couple of drawers, and looking at these amazing photos of male ballet dancers. I will think about those men when I do my next Ballet Beautiful workout and find myself teetering ever near the floor as I fall out of yet another pose; the thought will soften the blow. :)
Cheers and hugs, and I hope you have been moving happily through space and time. Have a great start to the week.
Glad you had a restful weekend!
I could wear VB's designs if I were a foot taller and 50 pounds thinner. Alas, I can only admire them from afar.
I am also an admirer from afar in terms of Victoria Beckham's clothes! :) But that's probably just as well.
Cheers to you and a good start to your week, figuring out your new space.

Glad you've been having rainy, cool weather. (We're supposed to get some this week. Yay!)
Shana Tovah, Gwynne! :)

I'm glad you took time for self-care, and hurrah for cooler weather.
At least a couple of days' break in the weather is a harbinger of good things to come!
Hugs and good things for you. :)
Now that's an ominous prologue!
And love the ballet men, though their feet are looking scarily arthritic at a very young age. Fortunately, the rest of them seems to be in very fine shape.
The prologue is indeed raising questions about the new season! Can't wait. (And I was glad to see Ohila, who was also in the special short last year for the Eighth Doctor's regeneration!)
Hugs and dance to you today!

5 more sleeps now:)

I really like the Victoria Beckham clothes, they look like things I'd actually wear!
Hope you have a good week.
My own admiration for La Beckham is of course well-documented. :)
Cheers and a great start to your week!
Ooh, thanks for the Prologue...i had not yet had a moment to catch it. The weekend bookfair and bookseller visitors are now of the past and tomorrow we have a full day of travel so as to spend a week in Connecticut with friends...not a book fair in sight!
I heartily endorse you havng a weekend. Attention must be paid to ourselves as well as the world around us.
Hugs and a productive week for all!
The prologue is nicely ominous, isn't it? And I do love seeing P Cap play against a powerful woman of a certain age. :)
Hurrah hurrah for your vacation! [hugs]
*Also cool here, which is awesome.
*The prologue! It'll be several more sleeps before I will see it, but I will be spoiling myself silly reading about the new season.
*I was surprised at how much I liked Beckham's collection. I often admire her line, but I really liked some of these pieces a lot.
*The ballet dancers feet are beautiful, and just looking at them makes my arch cramp.
*I've never read The Ipcress File. I should do something about that.
Ysy for September coolness!
I am so excited for the new season, and of course for the Christmas Special with RIVER. :)
Hugs and good books and a wonderful Tuesday night, my friend!
