|08:39 pm - Last week's joys, Post #11|
Oh Lord. I'm supposed to have time off this week, but ha! Not so much. Every new email is like a carrier of some work-disease, spreading at a horrifying rate. Ah well.
But let us go straight to the joys:
*I have the new Bujold novella -- the further adventures of Penric and his demon -- on my Kindle.
*I cooked a pot of red beans today, with Penzey's chili powder and a sprinkle of Penzey's dried shallots. Mmmm.
*Two big work-tasks are DONE, yes, praise all gods.
*All About Eve on the big screen, which is joy upon joy.
*Watching the first five minutes of Doctor Foster -- after which the story takes us to a bad bad place -- for the B Carvel of it all.
*Two and a half months to London!
What's great for you this week? What are you celebrating?

I look forward to your review of the Bujold novella.
I have a new wallpaper on my tablet - another of Emily's photos, this one a landscape. It's a view across a cliff and out to sea, with a bit of fog, very calming.
Hurrah for wallpapers and your daughters and you!

What a great list of joys! Have a good week.
Happy week to you! [shares tea]
Yay All About Eve on the big screen!
I have been enjoying my I, Claudius rewatch.
I need to start my own rewatch!
Cheers and hugs to you!
For the last two days we had a mild winter storm alternating snow, hail, sun, hail, rain, sun, snow in alternation...enough snow to stick and look pretty and then melt away.
Even better, we didn't have anywhere we needed to go for three whole days in a row. Bliss!
hugs and hearty good wishes for progress!
And yay for not having to go anywhere and for replenishing the reservoirs. :)
Good thoughts sent your way!
Yay for new books! I just fed my Kindle the latest Faith Hunter book, Cold Reign
. Something tells me I will be up until the wee hours :-)
ETA: Got confused about the treat waiting for me -- I still have to wait for Cold Reign, it's Patricia Briggs' Silence Fallen
that's going to keep me up all night!Edited at 2017-03-08 02:12 am (UTC)
Belatedly -- yay for books, whichever comes first. :) Hope it was a fun read!
So much to do until then, but yes! :)
Cheers for your week, T.
I'm sort of celebrating my trip to the dentist today- the last ancient filling that needed replacing has been replaced- no surprises, no problems. At some point other things will have to be done, but for right now, fingers crossed and knock on wood, there's nothing urgent to deal with. Knock on wood again.
Oh HURRAH for good dentist outcomes, and YAY for you! [many hugs]
