|09:11 am - This week's joy, Post #14|
This past week has been... exhausting. I meant to do cool stuff yesterday afternoon on my Day Off, but after working out, doing some cleaning, and doing the monthly 'big' shop (I get paid once a month and shop for pantry and freezer stores then), I mostly lounged around in manner of Pre-Raphaelite Heroine or similar.
Last night I had vivid dreams, culminating in a cinematic thriller wherein I was one of a plucky band of corporate whistleblowers being chased by Evil Kevin Spacey as CEO/Assassin through a nightmarish Business Casual hotel (like a Marriott but ever-expanding into creepy rooms, with a broken elevator in each wing), ending up somehow in one of my childhood homes. I woke up 45 minutes past my alarm-time, with fog-light silhouetted around the curtain and Master Danger rattling his crate in his nearby bedroom.
I'm a little off my game, is what I'm saying.
So this week's joys, a bit incoherent:
*I made it through!
*Routine car service, which after an initial ten-minute delay was fast, courteous, and competent; the service guy made a point of Not Upselling.
*Fish and chips with one of my best friends Friday night
*the glowing reviews for David Tennant in Don Juan in Soho, which I'm seeing in May (I've linked to a sample review)
*I GET TO SEE TONY HEAD IN LOVE IN IDLENESS, AFTER ALL! \O/ Here, let's look at him in the role.
*A long walk (despite pollen) yesterday, with light and color and birds perched on poles watching me go by.
What's making you happy right now?
I love all your posts - so positive!
Tony Head is still handsome. I think I saw him as Frank N. Furter in Rocky Horror Show in London in '78, but didn't keep the programme, so I cannot say for sure. I loved the show, but later when I became a Buffy (and Tony) fan, I wish I could say for sure that it was him.
I save my negativity for private moments. :)
How AWESOME a memory to have seen RHPS in London, regardless of who played Frank N Furter! AWESOME!
[hugs] Happy week!
That's great you'll get to see Tony Head in Love in Idleness!
Dead chuffed. :)
Happy Monday, plus hugs!

Hugs, and I hope your upcoming trip is everything you hope for and more.
Sending hugs back, and hoping for a good week for you!
That link to Tony head was a definite high spot (my goodness, but he's aging well).
The sun is out but the temps are mild, it's still a day off, and I finished a sweater project on Friday in time to get a few days wear out of it when the coll and possible rain return midweek. Small happinesses are just fine by me.
(Sorry about the pollen....)
hugs, hugs and more hugs.
Tony Head is still a handsome devil, it's true. (Did you see the candid after-party pic? Dressed casually, he looks ten years younger than in character.)
HURRAH for your finishing a sweater project AND getting to wear it! Awesome. :)
Hugs hugs, ALH!
Lounging and dreaming, even if it's nightmares--always best way to spend time.
Love in Idleness!!!! Tell us about it when you see it.
What's making me happy is all the new leaves on the trees, all so big, all at once, and all so green.

Oh hurrah for sudden leafing! That new green is so pretty.
Hugs, dreams, and time to enjoy wished for you!
I would love to see Don Juan in Soho, it looks like it would be so cool. Not sure about Love in Idleness, but I'd go just to see Tony Head :)
All the reviews for both Don Juan in Soho and Love in Idleness are amazing. :)
Cheers for your weekend!
Being chased by Evil Kevin Spacey is not good. At all. But ASH and David Tennant!
The dream was SO STRANGE.
Cheers and hugs for you, S!
