|02:22 pm - this runnin' with the joneses now just ain't where it's at|
An autumn cold front in the subtropics isn't really like cold fronts in more temperate climes. It's a question of degree, really -- stepping outside into air, not steam; a north wind which actually cools those in its path, if only a degree or two. It's about breathing.
Been a busy week here, with stories clamoring for my attention but little time to tell them. Been a worrying week elsewhere, with crashes and bailouts and fear in the wind. But thanks to all the powers, a subtropical cold front's blown in.
I've got my Friday afternoon free before an evening thang, and a weekend free after that. I've got a glass of iced herbal tea, I've got a happy Dog of the House at my feet, I've got a grey-haired Texas expatriate singing 70s blue-eyed soul on the sound system. Here, I'll share -- have some live Boz Scaggs in 2004.
May you have good winds and good things this weekend!
I think cold fronts here are more like high summer elsewhere, so I'm sure it's moreso for you (but I don't mind the steamy days---hate to see them go, even if for lovely days like this).
Have a good weekend!
A cool November in the subtropics = my favorite weather, but I will enjoy the turn, too. And I shall send all my steamy days to you! :-)
[hugs] Happy weekend!

Have a good weekend, Lori!
Happy weekend, Gwynne! [hugs]
A free weekend!! AND a gorgeous cool breezy front! You are living the high life, my friend.
I'm heading into the back yard, where I have spent most of my day happily sitting, a tall iced tea with mint and a good magazine in hand. Later, a long walk on the beach, crunchy savory salmon burgers, and not much else...a blessing.
Well, when I say 'weekend,' I mean until late Sunday afternoon. You know the drill. ;-) But anyway, YES, it's going to be a lovely weekend!
Your programme sounds just wonderful. All good thoughts to you and D this Friday eve! [hugs]

Oooh, that sounds wonderful. The weathermen keep promising cooler weather, but it's been a little hotter here every day. Methinks they've got their predicting hats on backwards.
I got a whole lot of beads sorted, and laundry washed, and errands run, and I have Life Season 1 DVDs to watch, sometime when the Husband and I have time, and my new copy of Chalice for when I have a few quiet hours. And tea with diet lemonade in it, which is much nicer than you'd think.
Enjoy your evening thang, and your weekend, and my most respectful pets to the Dog of the House.
Time for more tea, decaf this time.
You have accomplished a lot, and you have a lot of good things there! :-) Enjoy enjoy enjoy!

Yay for fresher air:)
I'm ready for autumn. ;-)
I send hugs, warmth and more hugs your way! [also, biscuits]
Have a happy weekend!
I have stories begging to be told (or edited), and somehow I can't get myself to actually so much as open a word processing program. I suspect it's a good thing to let things lay fallow for a while, but part of me is nervous... *g*
I think the fallow period is v. important, but I *totally* sympathize with the nerves! ;-) [hugs hugs]
There's not much better than cold front after such a summer.
(The computer seems to be working. We don't know why, but far be it from me to question any kind of good thing.)
SUSAN! [hugs a million]
It's so good that the computer's working and YOU HAVE POWER!
[hugs two million]
Running a bit behind. Am replying to this *after* I replied to your most recent post.
We too had the cool day. Much fishing on Saturday with a rather nice bass caught. Glad you had writing epiphanies and quiet. And yes, turquoise once a week will look lovely with black boots!
Take care of your allergies!
Turquoise and black looks good, but what I'm finding oddly pleasing is turquoise and a rich dark brown. (This is also a better color against my skin, actually...) But I should defer to you because you have fashion knowledge I don't! :-))
Turquoise and brown is very exotic and v.v. 'in'. That rich dark brown would be quite wonderful on you. So... brown boots and turquoise, dear! Go for it!
