|04:00 pm - Monday, oh so Monday|
Yesterday, as a herald of the approaching week, my main laptop died.
Only two and a half years old, it black-screened in the pursuit of Livejournal comments. It is currently at the computer hospital, but the situation looks critical.
Please tell me something good, so that I may smile in the midst of my travails. And if you can't think of anything, I send good thoughts in your direction!
(Normal post-a-day service should -- I hope -- be resumed tomorrow evening.)
Oh, dear! There has been a rash of this amongst my LJ loved ones this week, what gives?
I don't have much happy this week, but if you didn't see the grackle picture I posted, it might amuse you.
The latest word on mine is a new virus. Oh boy.
I DID see the grackle picture, and I loved the story about the hawks. :)
Happy day to you!
It is very Monday, to be sure. In lieu of something good, I send good thoughts to you and your laptop. May the geek squad or similar prevail.
They're working diligently, I'm told. [crosses fingers]
[sends hugs and good thoughts your way]
Horrible! Computers should not allow themselves to die, especially at such a young age. Hope you had everything important stored safely elsewhere.
A good thing: an early morning walk in the cool shadows under the trees that lean to meet over the street, leaving just a pool of sunlight here and there. And a cool evening visit on a deck by the river with moss trailing down and muskrats swimming busily back and forth.
And the cool air should arrive here tomorrow(but yeah, that's what they said last week...), so maybe you'll get yours too
Your walk and your visit sound wonderful -- and you describe them beautifully!
After a week of promising a cooldown here, the forecasters have stopped promising. Alas.
But cheers and good thoughts to you!
Mr Capaldi does make things better! Thanks, F, and hugs.

Sending good thoughts for your laptop.
My good thing is that I've just been to a very jolly production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Globe. Lots of fun and raunchiness on a beautiful, clear and very chilly evening.

Oh what gorgeousness to have midsummer at the turn of autumn. :)) Hurrah for you, K! [hugs]

Your poor laptop! I hope it can be saved.
I've been having Such a Monday, but I am looking forward to watching GH tonight!
I hope the laptop can be saved, too. [sigh]
But there was much good in GH, including the comedy stylings of Robin Mattson and Roger Howarth together. :) And Maura West is really killing it (no pun intended, RIP Vince).

Robin Mattson and Roger Howarth, together again! :-)
I love Maura West and William DeVry as the revitalized Jerome family. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd actually feel sorry for a GH mobster dayplayer!
Oh, no! That's no good. Hope it turns out to be something fixable!
Thank you, Pique the Awesome! I am still waiting, but also still hoping.
Cheers to you!
You are missed. That's good, to be missed when your laptop croaks.
What a kind thing to say! I appreciate it, and I send cheers and hugs to you.

Cool and crisp autumn mornings.
Hope your computer can be saved.
I yearn for cool and crisp autumn mornings! :)
Cheers, thanks, and a happy Tuesday, T.
My fingers are crossed for your laptop.
I'm not sure how good this is, but it's indicative of my Monday- First thing I got to work I had to fax some papers, instead I copied them and then stood there staring at the two sets of pages in my hands sensing something was wrong, but not quite able to put my finger on what the problem was.
Oh, S! I so, so sympathize with the fax-copy problem! Hugs and a better Tuesday.
What a Mondayish thing to happen.
I'm hoping for a better Tuesday. ;)
Cheers and a great Tuesday to you, Stevie!
I envy your autumn, but also cheer it for you. Happy blue skies, L! :)
