|01:03 pm - Current heat index: 98 degrees|
The subject line is not a typo.
However, let us not dwell. For reasons slightly unclear to me, my earworm for the last two days hasn't been a song but instead a soundbite: Andre Leon Talley in the film of The September Issue, saying, "It is a FAMINE of BEAUTY, honey."
It kind of is, here in my Livejournal. And because I must away to write, clean, and then venture out of my house into the hideous steamy heat, I will offer two Beautiful Images.
One is blogger Shini Park of Park and Cube, wearing my ideal of transitional autumn wear. (Confession: I have a complicated relationship with tartan, in that I always want to wear it but the only items I've ever had were scratchy or unflattering or both. Someday I will own Vivienne Westwood tartan clothing, but that day is not today.) Anyhoo, gorgeous sweater! Tartan trousers! London background! There we go.
Two is this Evening Standard magazine interview/photoshoot of Tom Hiddleston, dressed as Edward Peel. No, seriously, the car, the poloneck, the patterns -- totally Edward Peel. So there's a double delight in the photographs for me. :)
Happy Saturday to you all, and may you celebrate beauty however you define it!

Sends cooling breeze while looking at the pretty man.
Perhaps I need DOUBLE the cooling breezes for looking at Mr Hiddleston in that shoot. ;)
Cheers and hugs, L!
Happy Saturday, Lori!
Happy happy Saturday, Gwynne! :)

Ugh. Thoughts of coolth and a hope for a break in the weather soonest, for you.
Wednesday, they say. [holds on for Wednesday]
Hugs, A, and I hope your taxing weekend has been better than you feared.
Yeah, it's 90 degrees here today. And today I bought another coat (it was Coldwater Creek! Suede! Fifteen dollars! How could I NOT?)...
Someday I may even get to wear it! :)
Hugs and happy Saturday!
I have EVERY SYMPATHY with such impulse purchases. And with Too Much Heat in October!
[hugs] Have a great evening!
Oh, goodness; we had grey and drizzly today, but despite the gloom I prefer it to subtropical shenanigans. !
Tartan can be challenging; I reckon you'd rock a kilt, however.
Well, you know I'm odd -- I almost always prefer grey and drizzly. :)
HUGS HUGS, and I am sending all the good thoughts you can handle. I hope you have a good Sunday, H_P.
Happy happy Sunday to you, L!
A splendid Edward Peel indeed.
He is. Now if only I had a way to make that programme happen.... ;)
Cheers and a lovely start to your week, Stevie!
He totally looks like Edward Peel should. Hope it cools off for you soon.
It's so pleasing to see what Edward Peel would look like. [beams]
Hugs and a great evening, T!
Your earworms are much more elegant that mine.
My current one is Alice Cooper- a couple of his songs were in the soundtrack of a movie I watched last night and he's been stuck in my head ever since.
Heee, now I'll be earwormed with "School's Out" for the rest of the night! :))
Hugs and thanks, S! Happy evening to you!
