So much awesomeness! Happy 50th, Doctor Who! :))

"Night of the Doctor" was amazing. I so wish we'd seen more of Paul McGann as Eight. I've just seen the trailer for "An Adventure in Space and Time" and you're right, David Bradley IS William Hartnell.
Thanks to "Night of the Doctor," I am suddenly intensely interested in purchasing some Eight Big Finish audio plays. :)
And An Adventure in Space and Time looks so good. What a great week or so we'll all have!

I am suddenly intensely interested in purchasing some Eight Big Finish audio plays. :)
There are *lots* of them and strange to relate many of them are on sale now. :) I've only listened to some very early ones but both "Storm Warning" and "Chimes at Midnight" were very good, and in the case of "Chimes at Midnight" instensely creepy. Paul McGann has a gorgeous voice for audio :)
[writes down your suggestion]
Thanks, K. :) Hugs!

Seconds Kathy's recs. Both of those are really good.
I'm very fond of his ones with Mary Shelley too.
Just bought the "Chimes at Midnight" one. :)
Thanks to you and K!

"Night of the Doctor" OMG OMG OMG infinity! :-)
It's just delightful. And I know you loved the last shot to bits, didn't you. ;)
Hugs and a good Friday!

Night of the Doctor, yes, all the squee and a lot of sniffling.
We are going to have to have a discussion about the Adventure thingy - we can only record one thing while watching another, and Friday there are political talk show conflicts. So either we don't record Washington Week, and Husband has to stay awake (it's 8PM, good grief) and watch it live, or...
Maybe I can convince the DVR to switch which TV records what, just for the night. That'd work. I'll worry about it next week.
ETA: and Dish gives us the East coast broadcast, so the first run is opposite the Newshour (husband must watch that on Fridays) and Rachel Maddow (which we record to watch at 7PM). Gack. We'll work something out.

Good thoughts for time-shifting in a wibbly wobbly timey wimey way so that you can see An Adventure in Time And Space!

As it turns out, Rachel is preempted that night, and Husband decided he didn't really need to record WW when he could perfectly well watch it live, so I was able to set up a DVR-ing for the first run plus some extra minutes just in case.
We didn't shift time, time shifted itself, because I asked nicely. Or something. :)
Ooh, lovely links! Thank goodness for DVR....
Hurrah for DVR, and good luck with books today, ALH!

I keep saying that I should watch Doctor Who...that little prequel was good.
Dive in with the Doctor, it'll be fun! :)
Hugs and a great Friday.
Crane and Abbie ARE Happiness! :))
[hugs] Have a wonderful Friday.
Oh, dear god. THAT is Ichabod Crane? Sleepy Hollow goes on my DVR right now.
All the squee in the world- that was wonderful!
It's a really awesome setup and missing scene -- and in a larger sense, the arrival of Eight was a true (and welcome!) surprise. Paul McGann, tricky fellow, had been making sad public noises about not being asked to do anything to commemorate the 50th....
Now I'll need to watch it again. :)
Happy start to the 50th-Anniversary-of-Who week, Stevie!
