|07:21 pm - Working on my space|
It's a very warm evening, the last of the subtropical heat wave, but the rain is lightly falling. Cool front coming! (It'll only bring us back to our average temperatures, but we will take it.)
This afternoon I did something I've never done before. I put up Christmas lights.
Not a major production, mind you, because wow no I am so unhandy. But as I was at the big-box home improvement store this afternoon (that would be Lowe's), I saw solar Christmas lights -- a 'net' of lights, to be specific. When I got home, in steamy sunshine more like April than December, I managed to (mostly) untangle and drop the two nets of lights over the boxwoods that frame my front path.
This evening I went out with dear friends and ate and laughed. When I came back home, the blue-white sparks were there, shining through the rain.
I love the season of light in the midst of winter darkness. I hope you have light today.
That's lovely L. I always appreciate Christmas lights as I drive around in the dark days of winter. Hurrah for more light in the darkness!
Hurrah for you and for lights in winter depths!

Average temperatures sound good to me after the chilly weather we've been having!
And the Christmas lights sound lovely.
We've been 12 to 15 degrees above average, and I've been sorely tempted to turn on the air conditioner! But I have resisted. :)
Cheers and lights! [hugs]
I love winter lights, too. Wish we kept them up until March. And yours sound spectacular! Solar!
My solar lights are fairly... small. And not as bright as electric. But I feel happy with them!
Here in my little town, neighbors of mine have fairy lights in their backyard throughout the year. SO TEMPTING. :)
Cheers to you!

I really like our lights this year. Instead of putting them outside, where we can't see them, we put them around the inside windows so it's nice and twinkly inside too :)
Oh, that's perfect! [applauds you]

What a lovely thing, and what a lovely image!
These are tiny tiny lights, and they look like wee fallen stars. :)
Cheers and a good day to you!

All the lights are my favourite thing about Christmas. They make everything seem so much brighter and shinier.
And you live in a city where the lights are WONDERFUL (if you go into the West End, anyway). Hurrah hurrah!
Also, hugs. :)

Yay for lights:)
That sounds wonderful.
I need to decorate this weekend.
This is the first year I've even attempted an outside decoration! I'm well pleased. :)
Cheers and happy lights to you!
Oh -- I love the going out and eating and laughing, and coming home to light -- light which you made happen!
Thanks for this.
Lights and good thoughts to you, H_P!
