|09:20 am - Today's Good Things|
Roll-call of today's Good Things!
I'm drinking Fortnum and Mason green tea with ginger.
I'm treating myself with oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips, made from a recipe in Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything.
I'm wearing a soft cashmere sweater, a grey frock coat, and a warm soft scarf that looks like a Jackson Pollock splatter painting in blues with a hint of red.
I'm pleased with today's freezing walk at sunrise, because a) we made it, and b) Master Danger and I encountered one of our favorite neighbors, who allowed the young master to sniff her boots in almost a sweet manner.
I'm listening to the Modern Jazz Quartet's soundtrack for a 1959 Roger Vadim film No Sun in Venice, because sometimes all one needs is a little vibraphone in one's day.
What's good in your day? Cheers, and may your list of goodness be long. :)
First comment! Whoot!
Your list of good things is so warming. I need to stop coffee and go to ginger tea, definitely.
My good things: a light load, workwise, on this chilly day, which means a good long stretch of time to work with and play with cats. Also, sunshine makes me FEEL warm...from the inside of the house. Also, the Brandenburg Concertos are on the stereo. These are all good things!
hugs, and cheers!
Cheers and hugs for Bach and a day with a light workload! :)
LOve things for a cold day. Thanks for sharing!
My good day:
My husband just brought back a can of Pirouline wafers (thin wafers rolled around dark chocolate) and I have a lovely glass teapot and some Numi flower tea.
I'm wearing my pale blue, thick-plush robe and nice warm socks, but guess I'll have to change to my new lighter-than-air down jacket before I go to Best Buy.
I got my travel itinerary for February trip to India in the mail--camel rides! Houseboats! Tribal dancing!
I'm not looking at the thermometer.
I still have the finale of Sleepy Hollow to watch tonight, since I slept through the whole thing when I tried last night (not because it was boring, but because I hadn't slept much at all the night before--I actually didn't see enough to be bored, and don't think I will be when I try again).
Hurrah for India to come, wafers and tea and warm clothes now! :) What a great list.
Happy slide into Friday!

I was reading Traveller and Wish Queen in a coffee shop in Chelsea:)
[Edited because Demon Keyboard messed up]
Thank you, mate! Hope you're enjoying it. You could always go read in the Patisserie Valerie by the Ritz for the full effect, too! :))
Hugs a million!

Excellent good things!
(Also, Lucy was in the preview for tomorrow's GH. Not sure whether Kevin will be on.)
Whee for GH vets, and cheers for you, Gwynne!
A list of very good things indeed :)
Happy Friday, T! Hope there are many good things. :)
I'm wearing an awesome plum colored scarf. And a hat. ;)
Seriously, your outfit (and cookies) sound great. Food and clothes, that's what I'm all about....
Yay for plum-colored scarf and hat! Yay for you! :)
Food and clothes are great sources of comfort. [hugs]

Fog this morning, which did wonders for my scratchy throat and sinuses while it lasted.
Going shopping with Elder Daughter to the Goodwill and TJ's. She had as much fun thrifting as I did, I think.
ED reporting back on the goldfinch feeders in the back yard. The birds have found them, and the feeders now need to be refilled almost every day.
I hope for more good things for you tomorrow. *hugs*
Oh hurrah for fog as bringer of ease! And cheers for thrifting and goldfinches and you. [hugs]
