|09:20 am - Today's Good Things|
Roll-call of today's Good Things!
I'm drinking Fortnum and Mason green tea with ginger.
I'm treating myself with oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips, made from a recipe in Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything.
I'm wearing a soft cashmere sweater, a grey frock coat, and a warm soft scarf that looks like a Jackson Pollock splatter painting in blues with a hint of red.
I'm pleased with today's freezing walk at sunrise, because a) we made it, and b) Master Danger and I encountered one of our favorite neighbors, who allowed the young master to sniff her boots in almost a sweet manner.
I'm listening to the Modern Jazz Quartet's soundtrack for a 1959 Roger Vadim film No Sun in Venice, because sometimes all one needs is a little vibraphone in one's day.
What's good in your day? Cheers, and may your list of goodness be long. :)
LOve things for a cold day. Thanks for sharing!
My good day:
My husband just brought back a can of Pirouline wafers (thin wafers rolled around dark chocolate) and I have a lovely glass teapot and some Numi flower tea.
I'm wearing my pale blue, thick-plush robe and nice warm socks, but guess I'll have to change to my new lighter-than-air down jacket before I go to Best Buy.
I got my travel itinerary for February trip to India in the mail--camel rides! Houseboats! Tribal dancing!
I'm not looking at the thermometer.
I still have the finale of Sleepy Hollow to watch tonight, since I slept through the whole thing when I tried last night (not because it was boring, but because I hadn't slept much at all the night before--I actually didn't see enough to be bored, and don't think I will be when I try again).
Hurrah for India to come, wafers and tea and warm clothes now! :) What a great list.
Happy slide into Friday!
