|08:52 am - Wednesday Wish-Place: horizons|
I've been pinning and posting pictures of gates and doors lately, perhaps because of the link of enclosure (and safety) and possibility. I do love me some liminal spaces. :)
But today I need to think about my roots in the plains, where skies stretch out forever and the horizon is far away. Today I need to feel the peace and the challenge of the horizon.
So -- because I know some of you need water, let's think about a table on a terrace by the sea, where the ocean leads us out and out and OUT.
If you need a little more sense of enclosure, but still color, freedom, warmth -- a lavender field in England.
Or, for me, because I've been thinking about burning away old growth: range-burning in the Flint Hills of Kansas, which is done during most springs. That James Nedresky photo combines beautiful curves and the straight line of the horizon, while the sun... lowers? rises? It's up to you. :)
May your eyes lift to the horizon today!
Wow, I can't decide whether I like the table by the sea or the lavender field better! Both are great.
Yay! Glad you like. :)

Cherry blossom against blue skies and white clouds:)
A terrace by the sea is always a winner, whether it's a sunny warm day or a stormy dark night! Thank you for the images!
I so rarely go to the seaside, despite where I live, that I'm now wondering what my problem is. ;)
Cheers and hugs!
That last one's particularly impressive.
It's an awe-inspiring sight in real life!
Thanks, Stevie, and cheers for the start of your weekend. :)
