|07:44 pm - Stumbling toward the weekend|
Today's OED Word of the Day: mubble fubbles, a state of depression or melancholia. Useful for all sorts of days, including this one.
But we carry on. Master Danger and I walked 2.4 miles this morning in the midst of fog, mist-cool and unexpected, and after we came home, he arranged himself on the tiles and let himself sleep. I of course couldn't do that -- work, etc etc -- but I comforted myself with the knowledge he was pleasantly worn out.
Later, at work, I was given wee cupcakes, so I had that going for me.
I think I might lie on the floor in front of the fan -- it was hot today once the fog burned off -- and read an art book of some kind, possibly Ed Ruscha: 50 Years of Painting. Or perhaps I might lie on the floor and sigh in time with the fan. Who's to say.
Link for today: apparently there's a new L.A. trend of staged readings of film scripts, as described here in the Guardian. How cool, yes?
I fear I have overused the word 'cool' in this entry. Ah well. :)
May you have no mubble fubbles as we near the weekend, may you have joys and happy sighs.

Mubble fubbles. How perfectly descriptive of my state of mind today.
*hugs and solidarity* and I hope tomorrow, no, tonight, immediately, improves for you.
Alas for the state of mind. [hugs] Happier Friday to you!

I was in a mubble fubbles state of mind today but the thought of that being the word for it has pleased me so much that it's no longer applicable :)
Hope you have a lovely weekend with no mubble fubbles. *many hugs*
I'm so happy the word pleased, K, and I wish you no mubble fubbles today.
And the same to you, L! [hugs]
That is beautiful. I've never heard this word(s) and I must never forget them.
hugs for heat and humid, L, and happier Friday!
It's a great expression.
Cheers and a great Friday of your birthday week, F! [hugs]
I love that term!
Cool floors and no munnle fubbles for you this weekend!
Hurrah for cool terms and for you. [hugs] Happy day to you!
What great term for a dreary state!
And when you use cool in it's different meanings, it only emphasizes your word play, yes?
Blissfully enjoying our sudden steady rainfall and hoping some of it turns to snow in the mountains and the rest makes its way to the fields and reservoirs so much in need. ( apparently autocorrect has decided that there is no such word as "its". Grumph.)
Wishing you some bliss too and a relaxing weekend, however unlikely. Hugs, hugs, and more hugs.
I am so glad you're getting rain! And I do hope the snowpack and reservoirs get a little of what they need.
Hugs and cheers for your day, ALH!
I haven't been to any staged readings of film scripts, but yes, I've heard that that's been happening around here lately!
Wishing you a mubble-fubble-less weekend.
And a super-awesome weekend to you, Gwynne! :)

Its a great phrase.
Yay for mini cupcakes:)
The mini-cupcakes were a delightful surprise and v.v. good. :)
Cheers and hugs and a great weekend ahead!
Those staged readings look great.
They do! :)
