|08:06 pm - Links in lieu of comment|
So tired, so free from intelligent commentary of any kind....
And thus, links with absolutely nothing to link them:
*a March 2014 article about Charlotte Rampling, who is an icon for me.
*Last night I ignored all the films I had been going to watch and instead followed my craving to a rewatch of John Sayles' Lone Star, one of my favorite movies of all time. Chris Cooper as Sam Deeds, my friends -- and Chris Cooper's Sam with Elizabeth Pena's Pilar.. All the love there is.
*I am fascinated by the practice of spring range-burning, which by setting fires allows the tallgrass prairie ecosystem to essentially reboot. Here's a great NPR piece on Kansas range-burning.
And that's all I've got today. May you have more cool things to think about!
Happy Tuesday, now! The horror of Monday has been put behind us. :)
[hugs] Happy to see YOU, Rainkatt.
Links are good. Esp. When selected with your curator's eye.
And yes, it's been Monday allllllll day...
So very Monday -- but now, TUESDAY. Let's hope for good things!
I really, really love both John Sayles and Chris Cooper, so that's one of my favorite movies--and not surprisingly, there's my Facebook comment in your Bing search! Very funny.
Oh how perfect! :)
And it' a great movie, indubitably!
Happy Tuesday to you. :)
