|08:39 am - Stompy boots|
Hullo, it's Friday already! How did that happen?
My week past has been part rejection and dejection, part defiance and willful, doomed dash. To move out of my week, I've put on my stompy boots.
The stompy boots are very, very old Dr Marten hiking boots, brown, heavy-soled. (I see they need a polish. Maybe later.) I bought them... is it a decade ago? longer?...in London, in the big DM shop in Covent Garden -- which establishment is long gone. Back in the day I would wear them with tights and short skirts; now I'm wearing them with wide-legged jeans and a fisher(wo)man's sweater, because the subtropics are cold today.
The important thing is the stomp.
*writing (see 'dejection,' see 'defiance');
*a chimichanga for lunch, and a visit with a dear friend;
*walking in the chilly wind;
*carrying around the Dog of the House;
*finishing a mix which I'm tentatively calling "Get on the Good Foot."
What do you do to stomp? Whatever it is, may it carry you forward with all good thoughts!
And may the stomping carrying you through the end of the week.
Happy weekend, W_P! Enjoy!

Go get 'em. You stomp the best. Go you. Stomp, stomp.
I'm not so good with the stomping - mostly I suppress until I get a headache, all hell breaks loose, or both, which is not good. Perhaps I need to learn to stomp more.
Why does DotH require carriage?

I encourage you to stomp! :-)
The Dog of the House does not require carriage, to be honest -- I am doing it to irritate her because she's tried to trip me three times this morning. Also, it's a workout! ;-)
Hugs and a happy weekend!

Ah, I understand now. Dog of the House, refrain from tripping your human! [shakes finger sternly]
Happy Stomping Weekend to you!
Dear A, writes the Dog of the House,
The problem is that L is v. clumsy. I was trying to *herd* her into the right paths -- it is not my fault that she doesn't take to being herded. She has to deal with my birthright, that's all.

Fallen leaves - they're just asking for it and make a great crunch.
Those sound like a good plan to top the stylish outfit of warmness.
Interestingly, because of the usual subtropical climate whatsit, water-oak leaves are falling like nobody's business. Perhaps I shall stomp and crunch this afternoon!
Sadly, I am not stylish today. But we persevere. :-)
Hugs hugs, L! I am pining for London today, btw...
I'm wearing my stompy boots today, too, to seeif they help me stand still when I'm using my camera.
Julia, because somehow I seem to have developed a sway
May you be planted well, in all ways! :-) Good thoughts for your Friday and beyond, Julia.
