|05:46 pm - It's Tuesday, and...|
...sick of the heat. I'm really ready for it to be mid-October, except for all the HORRIBLE THINGS I have to do between now and then which nevertheless have to be done.
...still a little verklempt from reading The Garner Files, James Garner's autobiography (written with another writer who's fully credited). I learned so many cool things about him, each one making me love him more -- I hadn't known he was one of the Hollywood contingent that flew out to join in MLK Jr's March on Washington, for instance.
Here's a photo from the March, with him holding onto Diahann Carroll.
...still a little verklempt from watching the last episode of Endeavour Series 2 as well. Why has Series 3 not been re-commissioned? I need to know what happens next!
...baffled and yet caught by Shaun Evans' big blue eyes, so luminous and huge that one might think he is a baby detective as drawn by Walter Keane.
...aching from pressure-change and the likelihood of yet another sinus infection.
...happy that Master Danger is happy, which he seems to be. Currently he's lying in his favorite spot behind my desk and digesting the treat he got when we went through the drive-through at the bank.
...going to do yoga in an hour or two, just to get the work tension out of my shoulders.
Hope that your Tuesday has gone or is going well, and may your Wednesday be better!
I am so ready for autumn as well! (We're about to have a heat wave...)
While I understand that it's July, that's when the heat comes, I am not resigned!
PS. Wore purple and green together today and thought of you. :)

Hope yoga makes it better. And boo, boo, sinus infection! Hope it passes you by.
My Tuesday: Chicago. My Wednesday: Berkeley. Someday, a month in one place.
O for all your traveling! I hope you find fabulousness everywhere.
Hugs and joy!
We watched an episode of Endeavour on the weekend. I really enjoyed it and will have to see more (and pretend I don't know what happens at the end).
It really is an excellent programme! :)
Cheers and a good Wednesday, T.

They had better recommission Endeavour after that ending!
I would send you cooling breezes if we had any so I'll send hugs instead :)
They had better recommission Endeavour after that ending! YES. YES.
It's odd that we haven't heard yet, though.
Hugs and awesomeness today, K!
Cheers, L! ALthough boo on the potential sinus woes. I'm sharing them--don't know whether it's allergies or just normal reaction to the return to Florida, but damn, it isn't pretty. I have a lot of respect for you for your constant suffering and minimal complaining about it! (I'd be complaining in double time, all the time.)
How does the new chair look???
Best to your companion, and hugs--
The sinus woes might be coming from the instability of the atmosphere, exacerbated in my case by all the cut grass in my neighborhood. But anyway, ouch.
The new chair is good, but it makes work on the house imperative. ;)
Oh, all the hugs for your sinus infections. I don't know how you do it. Salt water and vinegar, my friend. I apologize if I've asked you before, but have you ever considered finding a good ENT doctor and having sinus surgery? Generally if one has recurring sinus infections, it means that your sinus passages are too small. Or, it's possible that you have a constant low-level infection that is exacerbated by heat/allergy season. Surgery can scrape all that garbage out of there, help you breathe freely, and drastically reduce the chance of further infection. My husband had the surgery and recovered in a few days, almost no pain, the bastard. But the upshot is that it's a very effective procedure for people with normal immune system. Just a thought, because you seem to have suffered infections for the ten plus years I've known you. Wow, time flies. :)
I admire your yoga-coping. I wish I could snap my fingers and move us forward in time. If nothing else,I really resent not being able to wear scarves and trenchcoats ATM. ((Hugs))
I should probably go to an ENT, yes.
And I just got the most amazing scarf! It was from an English company called Age of Reason, and while I can't afford their usual products, I hopped on the sale and found this cool sailing-ships motif. :)
It's so horribly, oppressively hot. I'm also blaming the weather for sore throats, headaches, itchy eyes, etc. Misery abounds!
However, I've got a copy of "The Silkworm", so I can't complain too much. :-)
Oh lord, SO HOT. When I opened the door to let Master Danger out this morning (5:41 am), the steamy air just about strangled me. Alas alas.
But YAY The Silkworm!!!
