|03:30 pm - Because I am not amusing at the moment...|
...Let me link to one or two things of joy, insouciance, or uplift, and they'll do my work for me. (I am busy sneezing, aching, and watching my back gate, which the neighbor's Rottweiler almost broke through this afternoon -- to which we say, "Alack." Also, the Dog of the House is snubbing me, who knows why.)
*This delicious gentleman at a Paris cafe, as shot by the Sartorialist.
*This Alex Ross blog entry wherein he links-and-explains a short video of jazz and modern dance.
*Johnny Marr interviews the Pet Shop Boys: notable moments include their reminiscence about Marr and Bernard Summer of New Order, whom Tennant and Lowe worked with as Electronic, and about the difference between pop stars and rock stars: On the second night, in the Winnebago, backstage, Bernard was lying on the bed with a sign on his chest: "Don't wake me up until it's time to go on stage." Also, a journalist interviews the Pet Shop Boys.
*In the NY Times, a story about dancer Ethan Stiefel's side-job as Dean of the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, which includes one of his rules for dancers/rules for living: "“We will work toward becoming great dancers, while understanding that being a good person is the true goal.”
May you all find your true goals, and may you find your perfect place today!
I will settle for a successful pigeon release (see lj)! I send good thoughts and ease to you! **hugs**
All good thoughts sent back to you! Will investigate this talk of pigeons...

Dances with you.
Thank you -- I'm crossing my fingers that the oak-pollen season won't be TOO much longer. :-)
Hugs and good cheer for your week!
::hugs and allergy meds::
[stockpiles allergy meds]
[sends the last of the birthday hugs]
You are lovely -- but watch out for Rottweilers. They like to clamber over things. And scare the shit out of one.
The photo in The Sartorialist? The sneakers! OMG!
SBD missed "All Creatures" tonight. It happens.
H_P, hugs hugs and good cheer!
The Rottweiler is v. scary indeed, and yet I feel terribly sorry for him -- his people never let him inside. Still, I'd prefer he stay well away from my gate!
Sneakers, yes. :-)
Hugs hugs yet again!
[hugs hugs] [takes antihistamines, but is without hope]
[sends more hugs and all good thoughts for your Monday]

Late as usual, but hoping you're feeling better today.
The ways of Small Blonde Dogs are mysterious indeed.
There were several lovely corgis at the Wistaria Festival on Sunday. There were actually many dogs, including a number of rescue greyhounds (beautiful sleek elegant beasties), and the majority of them were quite outstandingly well-behaved. Perhaps it's a Sierra Madre thing.
I wasn't feeling better until I went to my strength-training class, at which point I developed whole new pain and therefore the old pain passeth away. Win! ;-)
I love your description of the beautiful dogs (Corgi, greyhound, all of 'em) -- and I hope your festival-going was fun in general.
Hugs and good thoughts for end-of-Monday, beginning-of-Tuesday!
