|11:38 am - The thing is...|
The thing is, a freshly painted white floor collects marks and is no longer white.
The thing is, a blank white page does not collect marks fast enough.
The thing is, one pink bedroom wall is fun.
The thing is, one pink Converse and one yellow sneaker are pushing eccentricity (and/or bad eyesight) just a bit too far.
The thing is, smoked Gouda does not taste as filling as Double Gloucester.
The thing is, one person's favorite book does not taste right to everyone.
The thing is, the Dog of the House has a tendency to hide.
The thing is, the Dog of the House has the right idea.
The thing is, it's Wednesday.
The thing is, I wish you a fabulous day. :-)
The thing is, I think you're lovely. :)
The thing is, you're too kind! :-))
Happy Wednesday, by the way.
The thing is, that goes double for you!
[applause and support]
Those are beauteous things. As I try not to hide ...
You could wear the pink shoe and the yellow shoe, if you also wore some pink & yellow parachute pants, ala the 80s.
But then you would not be your glamourous self, the thing is, we likes you the way you are.
Hurrah for your not hiding, H_P. It is always lovely to see you. :-)
I think I'll avoid the parachute pants, even if glamour is far far beyond my reach. (Esp. as I am wearing two pink Converse sneakers right now.)
Hugs, joy, and good skimming-time! :-)
Mmm... Double Gloucester.
You too, mate:)
But Red Leicester is even better!
Hugs hugs, L, and a joyous London evening. :-)
The Dog of the House is wise.
Have you read Robin McKinley's Chalice?
The Dog of the House, currently lying in front of the fan, thanks you. :-)
(And I haven't read Chalice, no. Am about to start Marie Brennan's In Ashes Lie, for relative values of 'start': to wit, when I get tired of rereading Hugh Johnson or texts connected to the Blank Pages with which I'm struggling. ;-))
Hugs hugs, S! And a good Wednesday!
The thing is, I think you need Alex. *points at icon*
Honey, I always need Alex. ;-)
Hugs and strawberries and no ennui, W_P!
The shoes sound great to me...
Soon it will be Thursday. Hugs!
I am v.v. ready for it to be Thursday, too. ;-)
Hugs, good cheer, good end of week to you!
Now I want some Double Gloucester. But I would settle for smoked Gouda...
[shares Double Gloucester AND smoked Gouda]
[sends Wednesday hugs]
The thing is, it isn't just painted white floors that mark up easily--it's white tile too! :shares mop:
I like the shoes! And the cheeses!
I wish you a happy last day before finals, L.
White tile cleans up more easily, though. ;-)
A happy end of week and beginning of your true summer, F! We'll talk about lunch and museum soon. :-)
The thing is, I send hugs and pats on my way to the evening's writing. :-)
The thing is, I send hugs and pats in return, doubled! :-)
Hope your Wednesday was fabulous.
We persevere -- that's the best that can be said for today. And there's always tomorrow. ;-)
Hugs and joy for you, one day past birthday! :-)
The thing is, I love you. [squeeze]
The thing is, I love you back! :-)
Hooray for themed posts! Hugs to you and the Dog of the House!
Hugs hugs and hurrah for you, and good music to play you into Thursday! :-)
I'm so glad the pink wall worked out! I wouldn't mind having a pink room some day.
The deep-raspberry wall benefits from being largely blocked by furniture, of course. ;-) But yes, it's a cheering thing on a thunderstormy day.
Good thoughts, Chase, and continued rest and writing!
You sound just like Eloise!
The thing is, it is possible to wear two mismatched shoes (brown and green, though same model) for nearly two weeks without actually causing a riot (ask me how I know!) or in fact being noticed by most people.
hugs and celebrations for tomorrow being another day.
I smile at you, ALH! And I am careful not to inquire re the two mismatched shoes, because I have an active imagination. :-))
Hugs hugs, and joy, and time to read and rest!
