|09:44 am - STOP|
I miss the idea of telegraphs, sometimes -- the drama of them (so much more than a Twitter or Facebook status) and the delivery. And I think about the language of telegraphs, the STOP instead of the period, and how that changes the message.
I've been hearing a hoot-owl's cries for weeks now STOP When I went outside with the Dog of the House last night my neighbors were sitting around their fire-pit and hooting back at the owl STOP
I took my car to the dealership yesterday to have my clutch checked out so it would stop squeaking STOP The kindly mechanic said that it will require an expensive part STOP
I am desperate for some fast food for lunch even though it will break my pledge of healthy eating STOP
What would you STOP? :-)
Eat STOP repair STOP hoot STOP
If you can, of course!
Happy Saturday to you, with only the right kind of stoppages!
Right now, I'm going to stop grading student papers STOP!!!
Have a great Saturday yourself!
