|08:42 am - Saturday morning, cold|
Sunshine and cold on this Saturday morning, and before wrapping up to walk the dog, a few links to offer sunshine to you all...
*last year I wrote a ficlet about Iseult Morrison and a mysterious stranger, inspired by a photograph on The Sartorialist. The subject of that photograph has been featured again this week.
*I would revisit Iseult and Tristan-is-one-of-my-names, but I'm cracking ahead with the long-stalled project instead, hurrah! Favorite writing moment this week: when I figured out a key emotional thang for one of the supporting characters, and got to use the word froideur. (Note to the major character who used it: Oh, David, I love you.)
*I actually don't watch much television at the moment -- my only shows being House (still), Castle, and now Community. I didn't like Community when I watched the pilot; I have a reflexive dislike of American school settings, and this one seemed utterly implausible on top of that. Yet it's the way the writers and actors work that implausibility, the complete and total fantasy of it, which has drawn me in now, and the delicious characters who swim in that sea of madness. It's a roll-call of greatness in the 'study group': Jeff! Annie! Troy! Abed! Shirley! Britta! (Pierce, not so much, and it saddens me.) Although I have a strong embarrassment squick, there's a loving touch to all these characters.
What I also love in this season is the sweetness amidst the hallucinations. ;-) Two fan-vids to share the sweet and the mad: the epic bromance of Troy and Abed (played by Donald Glover and Danny Pudi), to "Space Oddity"; "Folding Chair," a vid showcasing Annie, young, earnest, and hilarious, with a side of Jeff/Annie (hurrah for Alison Brie who just COMMITS TO EVERYTHING and makes it real, and Joel McHale too). Yes, I have a little 'shipper thing for Jeff/Annie, but I am not even remotely invested in it, because that's not what the show's about.
There's a theme to these links, isn't there. May you have warmth, love, madness, and sweet this weekend, and onward! :-)

And a lovely one to you, with art and sunshine! :-)

Yay for having shows:)
Sample line from this week's Community: "I'm a *stylish* American. I've been forcing myself to be into soccer since 2004." :-))
Hugs and a good Saturday!
I adore Community, despite having found it a little late last season. The characters are a joy to watch! Troy/Abed is my new favorite bromance.
(hugs) for Saturday!
I've really only started watching Community this year (although I caught some late-season eps last spring). Yay for it, and you! :-) [hugs]
Hurrah for you, L, as well as for Annie. :-)
Hugs and a great day!

Happy weekend to you, too! :-))

Yay for figuring out a key emotional thang! :-)
Little drops of water, little grains of sand...
(I've been so stuck that I'll take any epiphany!)
Hugs and a good Saturday, Gwynne!
Community makes me laugh, which is a wonderful thing. (It never even occurred to me that there would be Community vids.)
It is a little odd how Pierce jangles. I wonder about that sometimes.
Community makes me laugh too. Love them! (Except Pierce, yeah.)
There is a delicious Jeff/Annie video set to "Something There" from Beauty and the Beast. It's a hee and an awww. :-)
Happy day, S! With added laughter.
