|07:49 pm - Sunday Evening Shoulds and Should Nots|
On this Sunday evening under the forcefield (for how else can one explain radar showing a thunderstorm over one's head this pm when outside the window a desultory raindrop or two deigned to wave in a tired manner), I list my Shoulds and Should Nots:
*I totally should be watching the Tony Awards tonight. But I can't be bothered. (Unless Sir Tom Stoppard is presenting. I should look that up.)
*I should design more treats for the Small Blonde Dog, who eyes the onset of summer HEAT HEAT HEAT with disgust and vengeance.
*I should not be counting chickens before hatched, etc etc, but I am so so so happy to be all but a page away from another chapter done in the Original Project. End of Act Two -- only the climax (wellll, preparation for climax and then climactic chapter) and resolution to go!
*I should not be dancing because of that, as it is not a pretty sight. (Too hot. Also, listening to Henry Purcell's Airs for the Theatre, which is not all that dance-y.)
*However, I should post this link to an article about Alex Kingston, who is Teh Awesome at all times but esp. when playing River Song.
*I should be watching my backyard in case the GIGANTIC HOLES appearing are made by ravening wild hogs, which according to the local news have been driven mad by the drought. Okay, maybe they're not ravening, as such...
What should you be doing? I hope it's fabulous, and I hope you enjoy it right into next week. :-)
:hugs: I should not be drinking wine laced with fizz and limes, and I should not be watching classic Who, and I should definitely not be contemplating chocolate. But as always, my list is plebeian and yours is...sublime.
Alex. Freaking. Kingston.
I sure hope those holes are not hog holes, L.
You totally SHOULD have been drinking wine laced with fizz and limes, and watching Classic Who. There, fixed that for you. :-))
Alex Freaking Kingston!
I feel sure that really, they are holes made by cats or raccoons, because they're not big enough for wild hogs. But I saw the news story about said hogs, and my imagination went wild... ;-)
Let's see: I should be doing something other than playing around on the internet while watching Adam and Jet play Drakes Fortune on the PS3.
I should also make lunches for tomorrow so that 6:30am isn't quite so hectic.
and I totally should leave the leftover bacon alone because eating half a pound in one sitting would be BAD.
But I think what I will do is finish folding one more load of laundry while having an icy glass of wine. And watch an episode of Foyles War.
Congrats on the near end of Act Two!
Wine and Foyles War are ALWAYS Shoulds! [applauds you]
[hugs] Happy week, T!
Lovely list and how FABULOUS to get the Alex Kingston link...
also, thankyouthankyouthankyou for the icecreamcone!
Happy rest of Sunday.
I plan to check out the Tony Awards anyway, so I'll let you know if there was any point....
Isn't Alex Kingston cool? I'm a fan. :-)
Hurrah for you, ALH, and hugs and a happy summer Monday!
I should be noveling (and I will be, very shortly!).
I also should be watching the Tonys but can't be bothered...
I watched the opening number of the Tonys, which was rather bold and completely Neil-Patrick-Harris-tastic, and then I went back to noveling. ;-)
Hugs and a good Monday, Gwynne!

Thanks, that's a great interview. AK is every bit as awesome as I thought, and more.
Congratulations on what sounds like major progress on your Original Project. Dance like no one is watching, you deserve it!
I was wrapping up the current phase of the Great Reorganisation Project while watching Battlestar Galactica DVR'd off BBCA last night, with not much interest, but paused because it was time for Antiques Roadshow. One has one's priorities, and we'll get back to BS at 9. Not that I really care, but Callum Keith Rennie is in there someplace, if I remember rightly, so at least there's that to look forward to.
I've got all the piles put away in their proper places, so I'm going to pour a glass of wine (purely medicinal, for the sore back and shoulders, right?), sit in my comfy chair and try to relax, because tomorrow is another day, and the 5:30 AM cat-feeding comes far too soon.
Respectful pats and virtual treats to the Small Blonde One, and the best to you.
AK is awesome, as are Antiques Roadshow and medicinal glasses of wine and you. :-) Happy Monday, with hugs!
I should be in bed. But I almost always should be in bed, so I'm not sure that counts.
Ravening hogs? Gigantic holes? This does not sound good at all.
((hugs)) and yay! ice cream and OP!!!!
[sends sleep and more ice cream your way]
The holes are really just raccoon-sized, which is not particularly better.... The subtropical drought means all the wildlife is getting desperate for water, etc.
Hurrah for you! (OP later today or tomorrow.) [hugs]

Alex K rocks.
Unlike wild hogs. Meep!
Alex K does rock! And so do you!
[hugs and a great Monday]
I hope the coffee kickstarts your week perfectly. :-)
Happy Monday to you! [hugs]
Wild hogs? That sounds rather worrying. Has the Small Blonde Dog been consulted?
The Small Blonde Dog is too busy punishing me for the heat to bother herself about any holes in the yard.
(There ARE wild hogs several miles away, but they shouldn't be here. Raccoons, however...)
Good thoughts for your week, Stevie!
