|03:27 pm - First Post of the Year, and More Joy|
Hullo to 2012!
(I haven't written that date properly yet, and it just looks wrong. But we shall persevere. I believe '2011' started looking right to me 'round about October....)
I have intentions for the new year, largely focused on Finishing Things Damnit with a side of London Ho, but there's no need to rehearse them here -- except for one. Here's the first sentence (proper) of the next big writing project:
The art of the riddler was to stir up and push down in one swift circle.
Now I just have to finish it. La la and what ho!
As for now, I'm battening down for subtropical cold, listening to 70s soul (thanks, gwynnega!), and thinking about More Joy Days in a fortnight or so. Herewith, then, a post to offer three (3) posts for More Joy Days. I'll take the first three requests and write to your specification. Request away!
1) Unexpected joy, for mobile_alh.
2) A 1930s film I love, for gwynnega.
3) Favorite spots in London, for janus_74.
But we don't need to wait for the official Days in this 2012 for me to wish you more joy, especially as the year turns and the light starts to come back. Cheers to you all!
A post about something that brings you joy that you hadn't expected, perhaps?
In any case, Joy is the focus for us all.
hugs and a happier new year.
I'll give that a try, ALH. Hmmm....
Anyway, hugs and joy for you TODAY and throughout the year!
So glad you're enjoying the music!
More Joy posts: How about a post on one or more of your favorite 1930s movies?
It's awesome, Gwynne, thank you. :-)
I shall endeavor to post on a favorite 1930s movie, absolutely. [notes that down]
[sends hugs and joy]

Thanks, L. :-)
Hugs and good cheer to you!
Happy 2012 to you!
How about your favourite London spots to visit?
I can absolutely do that. :-)
Thanks, T, and joy and hugs to you!
Happy 2012, L. You're off to a great start on your next project--yay!
See you sometime this week, I'm sure!
Happy 2012, F, and stay warm over the next couple of days!
(I should be over the worst of my cold in a day or two, too, and will be happy to foregather. :-)) [hugs]
I like the sentence. :-)
Finishing things is a good way to go- I finished cleaning two kitchen cupboards today and now have a place to put the papertowels. It's like a miracle.
Stay warm and feel better!
Thanks, S, and I'm sure you'll see the next sentence too. ;-)
YAY for clearing and cleaning and kitchen miracles! (Hee.)
Hugs and cheers to you!
That's an intriguing first line.
Thanks, Stevie, and cheers and a good Tuesday to you!
