|10:16 am - 30 Days Hath September....|
And I'm going to post on every one.
Or so I shall endeavor!
The light's changing, the cool is coming (in a few weeks), and joy returns to the land. If the 19th-century English poets had lived in the subtropics, there wouldn't be so many bloody poems about the spring; it'd be September that would be lauded (or possibly October).
Thus begin the days where I want to write, read, make soup, turn on the oven again, fondle tweed, turn up music, dance in the middle of the afternoon, run with the Dangerous Dog, drink tea. Thus begin the days of subtropical outdoor living (okay, again, or possibly October), where the humidity retreats to the equator and the insects go away.
More to come, but for now, HAPPY SEPTEMBER! Hurrah!
[PS. I have things to talk about, but if you wish me to post on something, pls leave a suggestion in the comments.]
Oh, happy September indeed!
I so agree about those English poets...
Hugs and a happy Labor Day!
I mean, I've spent time in England in the late winter and I understand one's joy at the beginning of spring and all, but... AUTUMN! YAY! :)
[hugs and good stuff]
It's not cool enough yet (and I still don't believe it ever will be) but I've committed myself to making two loaves of chocolate chip banana bread tomorrow. Because, darn it, September is Fall even if it's 102 outside.
HURRAH for baking! It is indeed a pleasure of the season, even if your part of the world hasn't cooled off yet. Cheers, S!
May your month be wonderful! :)

Wafts cooler breezes to you.
[grabs at the breezes]
[sends hugs your way]
Yay for you and this glorious month! :)
oooh, cool endeavor--good luck!
I have to tell you that I had the oven on yesterday--possibly the hottest day of the year to do it--and at the end, complaining about how hot the kitchen was, I remembered your rule about never turning on the oven during the summer. Suddenly my complaining stopped. Because you have The Answer, as usual, and I scoffed. :(
Hugs to daily postings and to cooler weather anon!
Alas for hot kitchens! I learned my rule in Arizona, where the summer is hotter than here, but I still send sympathies.
Cheers and hugs to you, F!
