|07:44 am - No Rain|
It's a sunshiny dawn here, with only a bank of pink-washed clouds in the west. Going to be another hot one, with too much sun.
As Master Danger and I headed out on our walk, I began thinking about my own love of cloudy days (possibly with intermittent cooling rain as well). Sunday evening's excursion to the Nearby Cool Town was a case in point: heavy thunderstorm clouds intensifying the green of the park, bringing out the best in the surroundings.
And then I remembered one of my favorite songs and videos from the 90s, Blind Melon's "No Rain." (Wikipedia says it was released in 1992, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE.)
The story of the band and singer is sad, but "No Rain" is the happiest ode to fighting the Black Dog(s) there is, with the Bee Girl seeking and finding her people, where she can dance. And for me, although the song's refrain of "no rain" means the singer is depressed, I imagine myself dancing underneath beautiful clouds.
May your day be filled with the joys that get you through.
Yeah, people who sing about uncloudy days don't live under a brutal sun! Hope you have lots of coolness ahead...
October, maybe! Roll on, October. :)
Cheers and warmth and beautiful days to you.

Plays music for you to dance to:)
Yay dancing in the afternoon, as if it weren't hot! [dances]

::peeks out the window:: Not a cloud in the sky!
We had clouds for forty-five minutes. Ah well. ;)
Cheers and a happy, COOLER start to your week! [hugs]
Late summer/early autumn thunderstorms used to be awesome- the build up of heat and the cool freshness after.
And that's a great song.
Hugs, and all good thoughts for cleansing rains and the freshness after.
