|03:33 pm - Wednesday, is it?|
The world is currently shimmering in manner of mirage here, thanks to a nasty sinus thing that's laid me low. In the midst of working from home, however, I wave wearily in your direction.
Two Wednesday wish-places today, where I'm mentally visiting in between spells of slight wooziness:
*The newly refurbished hotel at St Pancras, as richly recorded on the Park & Cube blog. Yearning warnings for Food, Fashion, and Architecture.
*the Ritz, also in London, possibly for tea.
I of course would be dressed appropriately for either magnificent place, rather than wearing jeans and pollen-dusted Tretorns as I am now.
That being said -- honestly, on a slightly fragile day, home (with Master Danger stretched out at my feet, with the fan blowing gently on my overheated self, with a nice glass of iced Lady Grey with lemon nearby) is certainly adequate for my needs.
Cheers, and may you find a lovely wish-place of your own today, even if it's home.
I would like to teleport to that hotel at St Pancras right now, please. :-)
Seriously. Those photos, that amazing place. :)
Generally speaking, I am delighted to be home during our lovely Indian Summer week, though a bit sullen about having to do errands again after nearly two weeks of lazing about.
I wish your sinus issues to a far-off place however...happy Wednesday!
Yay for home, especially after weeks of travel. Enjoy your Indian Summer, ALH!
Hugs hugs, and a good Wednesday.

Raises a virtual Afternoon tea with you.
December 2014, L, for a real cup of tea (or glass of wine)! But for now....

Poor budgie! *sends healing vibes and gentle hugs*
Thank you, A! A little more sleep last night, which means I'm ready to charge into my day now. :)
Hugs and a better day for you!
I have been through St. Pancras and have seriously considered it as a holiday destination. You could stay a fortnight and eat in a different restaurant each night! (I live in a village, so even a railway concourse is an exciting thing for me when it comes to shopping...)
However, I idly examined the rates at the St Pancras Hotel. Never mind.
I am somehow unsurprised that the St Pancras hotel has high rates! A nice lunch in one of the restaurants will have to suffice for a treat. Some day. :)
Cheers, and happy Thursday, with cool things to dream about!
Better today, thanks to sleep and some allergy meds. :)
Hugs and a great Thursday, L!
They really are lovely spaces. :)
Thanks, Stevie! And happy Friday.
Fantastic pictures, I wish I was there right now. Perhaps sometime next year.
I'm planning on a December 2014 trip myself. [beams]
